John Paul loves Skiing!

Picture
John Paul loves to ski very much as he felt it brought him physical exercise as well as closer to God.  Every year he would spend two weeks skiing at Poland's Zacopane largest ski resort.  One of his famous quotes is that, "It is unbecoming for a Cardinal to ski badly" He said to a journalist, "I wish I could be out there somewhere in the mountains, racing down into a valley. It's an extraordinary sensation."

Tuesday was John Paul’s day off and he would usually go on long day trips wearing a black hooded jacket to escape notice.  He would ride in the backseat of a priest’s car and travel usually to a mountain for hiking or skiing.  He loved to ski very much and one time a little boy recognized him as the pope and asked him after staring for a long time, “Are you the Pope?” John Paul answered, “Yes, do you want to ski with me?” After that, they would ski together many times.~He is John Paul book

We are very happy to announce our third saint doll, St. Pope John Paul II, a boy who went from his childhood in Poland to becoming Pope and a Great Saint. He has deep blue eyes that open and close, and blond hair. He comes dressed in his Papal Cassock and the paperback "He is John Paul” book. He has a cloth body, and a movable, vinyl head and limbs. He is an 18 inch doll.

We believe that the John Paul doll and book is perfect to inspire children to "Be not Afraid" and to follow their vocation in life. He courageously followed the will of God even when it was hard. He was not afraid to stand up for the truth. He traveled around the world spreading the faith everywhere.

Therese's First Holy Communion Gown

Picture
I had been thinking about my First Communion for a long time. Each day, I made a number of little sacrifices and acts of love. Every evening, I spent a long time with my sister Marie, listening eagerly to all she said about Jesus……..

At last it came, the most beautiful day, of all the days of my life. How perfectly I remember even the smallest details of those sacred hours! The joyful awakening, the reverent and tender embraces of my teachers and older companions, the room filled with snow-white dresses, how each girl got dressed one by one, and, above all, our entrance into the chapel and the melody of the morning hymn: “O Altar of God, where the Angels are hovering.”

How sweet was the first embrace of Jesus! It was indeed an embrace of love. I felt that I was loved, and I said: “I love Thee, and I give myself to Thee forever.” Jesus asked nothing of me, and claimed no sacrifice; for a long time He and little Therese had known and understood one another. That day our meeting was more than simple recognition, it was perfect union. We were no longer two. Therese had disappeared like a drop of water lost in the immensity of the ocean; Jesus alone remained—He was the Master, the King!

St. Patrick's Cathedral was all decked out for the Christmas season. It had red poinsettas everywhere and beautiful wreath with red bows. The Navitity was one of my favorites.

Picture
Joan is a simple courageous young girl who was given a mission from God to free her beloved country. She is an 18 inch doll. She has deep blue eyes that open and close, and straight blond hair. She comes dressed in her armor ready for battle and the paperback "She is Joan of Arc"  book. She has a cloth body, and a movable, vinyl head and limbs.
Picture
Joan of Arc is ready for battle waiting for her Banner which was being made by a Scotch painter named James Power.
Picture
While she waited, she got her green cape.
Picture
The banner came out exactly as she had envisioned, it was white and it had the inscription of Jhesus and Maria. She loved her banner so much that she said one day, “My banner I love forty times as much as my sword!”
Picture
She was ready to lead her army.
Picture
But, before speaking to her army, she prayed to St. Michael and St. Catherine of Alexandria, she asked them to help her save France.
Picture
Joan and her army won the battle against the English soldiers. It was time to rest now.
Picture
Before going to bed, Joan thanked God for saving her country and freeing France from the English invaders.
Picture
The French people had some medals struck which bore St. Joan of Arc image and her shield. One saw them everywhere. This honor was very dear to Joan.

There are many wonderful things about the autumn season. One of the wonderful things during autumn is the falling leaves and its many different colors like red, yellow, orange, and brown.

Picture

In addition, the season of autumn produces many delicious fruits and vegetables like apples, cranberries, pumpkins, and cabbages.
Picture

One can make many festive treats like apple and pumpkin pies from all the seasonal produce during autumn.
Picture

Look who has joined me to make a delicious apple pie, Joan of Arc!

"Great good was wrought in my soul by these beauties of nature so abundantly scattered abroad. They lifted it to God Who had been pleased to lavish such masterpieces upon this transient earth........
It was a foretaste of the wonders of Heaven" -St. Therese

(Taken form I am Therese, page 79)

I am very thankful to God for creating such a wonderful season like autumn. Go out and enjoy God's creation with your family. God bless you.

Saints are The Real Super Heroes!

I came up with this quote after reading the amazing life of Joan of Arc and working with Dolls from Heaven everyday.  I am amazed at how God works through us weak humans to make us into Super Heroes if we ask Him to.  Super Heroes are those who rush into a burning building even though they face certain death like the first responders on September 11th.  They do their duty and then some.  Saint Joan of Arc was a 17 year old child who was more suited to be a shepherd and God raised her up to be the Commander and Chief of all of France's armies when a girl could not be even a soldier, never mind the Chief.  17 years old, if that is not a Super Hero I do not know what is.  Saint Maximilllian Kolbe offered his life to save a condemned man at Aushwitz, that is Super Hero material.  You name the Saint and I will show you a Super Hero.  Saint John Paul II stood up to the Communists with a message of Peace that they were powerless to resist.  For he did not fight them the way one expects them too, in fact he did not fight with them at all, he loved them and always talked with them and always looked for a workable solution.  When necessary he would rally the people peaceably to stand up without force, only love.  Saint Mother Teresa got into the crossfire of two warring factions to rescue handicapped children that were trapped.  A tiny woman who stood up in between two fighting armies and called them to peace even for only a day.  She moved in between the ceasefire bravely and got the children out.  Here is the amazing story:  http://www.asianews.it/news-en/Mother-Teresa,-the-war-in-Lebanon-and-the-rescue-of-100-orphans-and-children-with-disabilities-38470.html

St. Joan of Arc Brings Joy to a Military Family

One of our customers contacted Dolls from Heaven about six months ago regarding the St. Joan of Arc doll. She heard about us on a radio interview Brian did for Jennifer Fulwiler, at the time the doll was still in production, so we told her that we would let her know as soon as we started taking pre-orders. Our customer was so excited about the idea of getting a St. Joan of Arc doll for her daughter in law. Once we started taking pre-orders, she placed her order right away. A month and half later, we shipped the doll to her daughter in law directly and her mother in law was notified that the doll have been shipped. A few weeks later, I got an email from the mother in law and this is what she said:

“It was so much fun with Face Time with my daughter in law as she opened the Dolls from Heaven box. She was so excited and we laughed and talked about how it came to be. The 6 month wait from the time I heard your company story on Catholic radio to her opening the box was delightful anticipation. My son is in the Army. There is an award for spouses given for their exceptional work with families. It's the Joan of Arc award. My daughter in law received this award a couple years ago. That is what makes this so special for her and me.”

God is good and He sends little treasures from heaven to make our lives more joyful. Remember to pray for all in the military and their families.

A Soldiers Prayer to St. Joan of Arc

St. Joan of Arc, humble maiden of France, your heavenly Father miraculously endowed you with every military skill and knowledge, and raised you up as the Commander of the armies of France for the blessing of His Church, the protection of His people, and the glory of His Holy Name. By your merits and prayers may God also endow all military men and women with every military skill and knowledge necessary for his station of duty. May his mission always be righteous, and his actions always be courageous, compassionate, and just. And just as you showed your ardent love for Jesus in offering up your life for Him, so may they fulfill all that their duty requires. St. Joan of Arc pray for us that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Saint Therese Sent Us Three Roses

9/27/2016

Picture
My entire family is praying a novena to St. Therese for all of our Dolls from Heaven's customers, for prayer requests that were sent to us by some of our social media friends, and for some of our personal intentions. Four days into the novena while I waited with two of my daughters for my other daughter to finish her art class, one young man came up to us and gave us three beautiful roses, one for each.  He gave us no reason for his kind deed; he just said that he was giving out roses. Immediately, we thought that the roses were from St. Therese, she never ceases to amaze us. She is a powerful saint and I know she is interceding for all of us.

As St. Therese said, "When I die, I will send down a shower of roses from the heavens, I will spend my heaven by doing good on earth.”

Always remember the word of St. Therese, “Just as the sun shines on all the trees and flowers as if each were the only one on earth, so does God care for all souls in a special manner.”

God bless you,
Esmeralda Kiczek

MY NOVENA PRAYER

O Little Therese of the Child Jesus
Please pick for me a rose
from the heavenly garden
and send it to me
as a message of love.

O Little Flower of Jesus,
ask God to grant the favors
I now place with confidence
in you hands
( mention your special prayer request here )

St. Therese, help me to always believe
as you did, in God's great love for me,
so that I may imitate your "Little Way" each day.
Amen

If you would like us to add your intentions to this Novena please leave your request in the comment box.
God bless you,
