Join your prayers to St. Therese’s Prayer

“Love can only be repaid by love. I wanted to do everything at once and I thought of a prayer Eliseus made to our father Elias when he asked him for a double portion of his spirit, and in that sense I prayed to all the Angels and Saints in heaven. ‘I am the most insignificant of creatures,’ I told them, ‘and I could not be more conscious of my own wretched failings. But I know how generous hearts like yours love to do well to those around them, and I want you, the blessed citizens of heaven, to adopt me as your child. Whatever credit I win by such means will belong to you entirely, but do not despise the rash request I make of you when I ask you to obtain for me a double portion of your love.”

I (Your Name) wish to join my prayer with Saint Therese's prayer, and ask that today all the Angels and Saints obtain for me a double portion of their love and that they adopt me as their child forever. Amen.
